Let me start by saying, Linnie and Tony were the cutest couple ever when they pulled up to my in-home studio. Both of them dressed in white and little Keon in Tony's arm. The two traveled from near Weirton, West Virginia, so it meant a lot that they chose me to capture this special time.
Linnie had indicated from early on that she was very drawn to neutral color schemes and didn't have a specific theme for the baby that needed to drive the session. During the setup of the session, Linnie showed me some letter blocks and a name flat that she wanted to incorporate in pictures. These kinds of items are the perfect touch to make your newborn photos unique to you. They are very easy to add in to images and allow for a lot of options. Here are some other things from her list that she wanted captured during the session:
Detail shots (baby's hands, feet, profile, etc.)
Baby in dad's hands
Full family posed/lifestyle photos
Neutral color palette with pops of color (blue preferred)
This gallery included all elements mom requested and some shots I wanted to try since she was so willing let me get creative. You may not be able to tell from the gallery, but we worked around a lot of tears and fussiness. My hope is that you can't tell! The amount of smiles little Keon gave during the second half of our session.... oh. my goodness. My heart exploded. I was thrilled to be able to capture so many smiles in a variety of different images.
